Why Present for Future?
Foundation Present for Future is a small scale initiative, preventing large amounts of overhead. Our boardmembers and volunteers carry the overhead costs of the foundation. Our projects are small and personal, enabling sponsors to see how their sponsorship helps the beneficiaries. On our website we like to share the stories we came across in our projects: what happens to the childeren with educational sponsoring through Present for Future, and status report of the Rescue Center project.
Our Partner: YWCA * Kisii
Foundation Present for Future supports local initiatives and projects. Projects managed by locals, supporting locals. This is a deliberate choice, because locals are the only ones who can tell what they need in their particular society. Locals tell us who needs support, and what should be built and how things should be prioritized. However willing, persons looking with "western-eyes" cannot make such judgements.
YWCA (Young Womens Christian Association) is a global organisation, empowering mainly women to support themselves and enabling them to positively change themselves and their surroundings. YWCA * Kisii provides support to inform women and girls about preventing AIDS and Female Genital Mutilation, supporting Aids Orphans, building a Rescue Center and sending children (orphans) to school. They raise funds amongst their members and third-parties to realize their goals. Because they are part of the global YWCA organisation (over 50 countries worldwide!) and because we have visited YWCA * Kisii ourselves, we know this is a very reliable partner. We guarantee: 100% of your gift will be spent on the project you choose! The board of Present for Future:
